What model of Jeep? I assume you are not thinking of driving 25K per year in a Wrangler. Personally, I'd get the one with lower miles and then add what you want. Great learning experience.

The ECU is behind the glovebox. There is a small black box mounted to the right side of the HVAC, the cruise ECU is just to the right of that. Silver box appx. 3"x5".

I think you should also be able to hear a click from under the glove box when you pull the SET button while driving.

Our '96 SE is just tan in those areas.

I assume you are talking about E85, not just 10%. I have been experimenting with E85 since a station here put in a pump about a year ago. I started by putting in 2 gallons of 85% and then filling with 10%. I didn't notice any difference in mileage or power. I have gone as high as about 50/50...

I trimmed mine. I scraped/carved it out to match the gauge cluster curve. The cluster now slips under the edge. It was a PITA, but looks pretty good. If your dash edge is curling up badly, consider screwing it down first before the kit. BTW, I used black drywall screws for mine.

Radio Shack only sells the tiny bulb with wires. Use a pin or something to unwrap the wires from the plastic housing and pull the bulb out. The green cover should slip off the old bulb and on to the new one. Feed the wires of the new bulb through the housing, wrap them like the old ones and...

I also used a screwdriver to remove the old seal. I used a deep well socket and hammer to tap it back in.

If it is a two button remote and new to the truck, a trip to the stealer is unavoidable. Sorry.

Transmission temperature

I need to get the tank recall done on my D1. I am about the same distance from dealers in Omaha, Des Moines, and Minneapolis. Has anyone had theirs done at one of these dealers? Opinions??? Thanks for any help/info. Dave

Just to clarify my earlier post, I did NOT remove the console.

I took the knob/gaiter off mine and then slipped the straw of the spray lube can down next to the cdl lever. I sprayed with with two kinds of penetrating lube and also reached up from underneath and sprayed a bunch more. No luck freeing it up that day, but days later I finally did. One...
