The music i like to listen to is probably despised by 99% of everyone here...

Favorite Heavy Metal Bands... :D
Chimaira (#1 by far)
Static X
Mushroomhead
Killswitch Engage
Coal Chamber
Motogrator
Slipknot
Soulfly
Hatebreed
Lacuna coil

It's great to listen to while lifting wieghts.

We normally listen to Art Bell or whatever music sounds good on hunting trips.

Sweeeeeeet!
I would like to add in some Disturbed, Mudvane, Pantera, Spine Shank, and sometimes Kittie. Really I like most anything heavy metal style. I prefer to listen to music mostly while wheelin. Chillin by the fire is a time for the sounds of the wild.....unless it is with a bunch of friends and beer, and then it is back to metal.

What's with all this hard shit people are listening to while they camp?
When I drive, I listen to Rammstein, Metallica, hair metal, System of a Down, etc.
When I camp, I want to relax, so I listen to celtic folk music and Chris Isaak.
If a cigar is involved, then it's Frank Sinatra.

When properly camping, I don't really listen to much music.

If the Rover is involved, I like some music.

Usually:

Enigma
Buffett
Eagles (can't beat Journey of the Sorcerer, for all you hitchhikers out there)
Journey
Phil Collins, in all his wonderful incarnations
Sting

For wheeling type camping it's everything above, plus:

Iron Maiden
Rhapsody
Blind Guardian
Iced Earth
Queensryche
Dream Theater
Lost Horizon
As well as the good Ludwig Van
Monserrat Cabale
And Freddy Mercury/Queen

Plus various other types of music. I listen to just about everything in one form or another, but I prefer Power Metal.

Cheers,

Kennith

I posted a lot of my favorite heavy metal bands, but I don't listen to them while camping... mainly because my cd changer doesn't work, and i've never been able to get a station up in the hills (except for AM) Now I have Sirius, but i don't think I'll be listening to anything in camp though. I normally like to just sit and talk about the next days hunt, or just bullshit while playin around on my GPS.

ok i must say i got a new CD two weeks ago and I am just now having it settle in.

Beth Orton's Comfort of Strangers

I just love it. a little jazzy here and there. got some good rythms. man It's not like Central Reservation but yet it is very much like it. The voice and sweet lyrics I guess.

Def. some great camping or road trip music, or for my any time music.
