ya it's got the 4 solenoids in the pack, so how to you ground em so that just the 12v is used for switching

I'm thinking I can permanently ground the solenoids so that only the 12v is being used with the SPST switches to activate the in/out solenoids. Then it will be just like the older 3 wire remotes instead of the newer 5 wire where the ground is switched too. Any one done this?
