BeachRover, what would you like me to do? Invite you over to my house? That is not going to happen. You are correct on any and all automobile deprecation, but sometimes that only holds true at times depending on age, miles and over all history of a vehicle. BeachRover, thank you for the gentlemanly words about my daughter Amanda. She will always be my hero too and my little Angel.

Steve, I grow tired of the repartee. I firmly believe that you entered this board with malicious intent. Also, I need no edification regarding your geographic region as I am familiar with its demographics. I have attempted to communicate with you in a civil manner and hoped to draw you out so that you would be able to see that the majority of the members of this board are very civil and enjoy the exchange of ideas and opinions. Even with your acerbic responses I had hoped that you would realize that many here just want conversation. Your apparent intent was to create confrontation. I have visited other Land Rover sites and there are members there as well that engage in less than becoming post. I wish that I could say that I have enjoyed the exchange but unfortunately am unable to do so.

OMG, guys, don't get hooked by a second-rate troll. I'm sitting here howling laughing at the poor use of language, spelling, syntax, you name it. We'll set aside the question of whether his fancy name is really his name, but I'd tend to doubt it. I've been down this internet road before and this is one of the poorest attempts at trolling I've seen, LOL! Mr. Sippy, sir <LOL>, you are either a poor example of a troll or a poor representative of whatever educational institution you claim. In any case, this has been a great laugh, if not a good read.

"Ta-ta, for now", said Tigger, it's time to go out and play with the horses! (Yes, real horses. Do you play polo? Does any of it matter? Not a bit!)

I don't and haven't had a problem with Todd so I wonder why he decided to start with me? Only thing that I said was that there was an asshole in every crowd.. Not like I was calling him one.. Just making a blanket statement... Oh well.. Doesn't matter anyways..

So who do we pick on next??? I'm wearing pink argile socks.. Does that make me

a) gay

b) fashion misfit

c) color blind

d) all of the above

Well?

Damn I tried real hard to not get into this thread..as one who rarely flames,,but this one is too funny to resist. KJ nailed it. OK, I'll play along for Skippy.

Listen up Skippy, or whatever your name is: The only people who get flamed on this board are those with thin-skin, and those who are jackasses. My very first post to this board resulted in Steve Young calling me an arrogant web-wheeler. I shed no tears. I've seen him and many others take it as well as they dish it out. As you apparently qualify on both counts listed above, I would suggest you take your blue-blood Newport ass back to whatever board you came from.

First: It's a freakin' internet chat-room, for chrissakes. Half the stuff on here doesn't have anything to do with Land Rovers anyway. Why the hell show up here if you don't like the board? Either you have too much time on your hands, or you are in business w/ Todd. Perhaps you are Todd. Or Chris. Either way is fine with me, but be honest about your identity & your motives. "Afternoon tea". That one was classic.

Second: Your comments on the Discovery simply indicate that you don't wheel, or that you're trolling. 'nuff said

Third: Todd is a businessman starting a board. Of course he's here & on Pirate saying nice things about DWeb. Like a freakin' love-fest over here all of a sudden,,, Whatever, it's business.

Fourth: Much of the slamming that goes on here is tongue-in-cheek. I've met some good friends on this board. As I said above,,,thin skin will make you a reject on any board. I also belong to boards that don't flame,,it's just not the culture. Either way, if you don't like the board, don't read it. It's just as retarded as if I went over to D-90 & started slamming that board... a senseless act.

Finally: I'm SCSL across the board, on whatever board I'm on. Nothing to hide. No fear. Coming here under an alias is either the height of cowardess, or trolling for fun,,,either way you need to get out more.

Hey guys I am home from the hospital for a short time and have like 5 messages to check Dweb, so I am like WTF???

Sippy buddy I have so enjoyed talking to you via my message board and email. Even though I am sure you mean well I don't think you have done me any favors here today. If you just wanted to say I told you so, it seems to be you were the instigator in this, so I don't know how I told you so works that way, when from what I am reading here you kinda started it. I don't want to offend you and run you off of our site. We don't have that many members and I was glad when you showed up. I just skimmed through this and I have to say when it comes to your bigotry of Discovery owners and what you described dude is me to a tee.

I LOVE Defenders and have told you that, but I have always been to cheap to buy one. I actually prefer the tricked out look of a Discovery with roof rack, lift etc over a D-90 in other words I LOVE my Disco. I am to cheap and to poor to buy a D-90 I admire them from afar and the people who drive them, but that is not envy and far from it. So, I guess I totally fit your definition of a white trash Discovery owner and if that is the case well I accept the badge with honor, because I will defend my Discovery no matter what. I LOVE MY DISCO.

I never caught on that you had such a bad taste in your mouth for us poor folk that can't afford anything but a Discovery. I bought mine new and I can tell you it wasn't cheap or in my book or bank account it wasn't. I have more important matters at hand right now than more board drama. I just wanted to set the record straight that I am proud to own my Discovery. I'm not going to debate my truck or my site here anymore. It is disrespectful to Dweb and the owners. People know our site is there and they can visit if they choose too. It is a shame though when I have to come make a hurried post on another site before even visiting my own. Pleading in my Rodney King voice....*Can't we all just get along?*

I figured it all out - Todd's "very rough time" is his multiple personality disorder!!

Anyone else beside Jen and I see the similarities in the writings of both sippyroverD90 and Discrover?

interesting timings as well... ;)

I thought that at first.. but the writings are definitely different.. Then I thought it was Chris Hyde.. still not sure about that one. In all fairness though, there are a lot of people who just hate discoweb in general and take opportunities like that to snap at us.

Tech arguements are great.
There are those of us who like the political bullshit.
Humor is always good.
Wheeling hook-up is awesome.

Where did all the drama come from lately?? Drama-web ?

With such a great history of land rovers behind him, one would have though that he would have known the disco and the D-90 are virtually identical beneath the body work...warm dry vehicle (aka low buck trailer trash ride) or wet cold draughty climate controlled garage queen (with little space and low utility) I know where my money went...And to be a direct descendant of an english person isnt much to shout about...better to actually be a Real one and not have to boast....As Hachet Harry said..."Well if you've got it....you've got it"....sadly you dont....
