Tidewater Rovers = stealin bastages

Go take a look at their web site, http://www.tidewaterrovers.com/ and you'll see that he stole his images and background from DAP's web site http://www.dap-inc.com

The Land Rover images were designed and altered by DAP's web admin, and Tidewater's folks are so stupid they didn't remove the code that has DAP's name pop up when you put the cursor over the images.

Anyway- DAP took an archive of his source code and is attempting contact. :rolleyes:

..One of the other forum's, on their first page, stole the images from roversnorth.com (the four trucks in their "Order Online" section).

Taking other peoples (even worse, businesses) images without permissions is a no-no.

They made over a dozen of those 'fast and superfluous' turds for the movie... and they're all butt ugly. Hey look, they have some illegal Defenders too... Maybe the Feds will take 'em away and crush them.
If you Tidewater guys are watching this, I think Lou said he'll settle with you for stealing his work- He takes PayPal, credit cards or cash...

While I agree that it is wrong to copy other peoples images onto a website, I have to say that it is equally as unprofessional to post negative comments about a competitor. This issue can, and should have been resolved privately between DAP and Tidewater w/ or w/o laywers.

the guy is a shiester... lifting stuff like that doesn't happen by accident. why get lawyers when it's more fun to poke fun at it. Once you lose a sense of humour, then life just isn't any fun anymore. All I really want is to hear the guy to try to explain it away as an accident or something...
I have a lot of respect for those who honestly try to eek out a living doing the Rover thing- although I may disagree with their philosophy or choices as they do with me. I have no respect for guys who are always trying to make quick bucks the easy way at other people expense. This isn't the first time the backers of that "company" have been in the spotlight.

Sy I tried to email you, your link to your email does not work. This is John Miller with Tidewater Rover. You know I was unaware we stole any thing. I hired a fellow to build our web site and create our logo. I will provide his name and address if necessary. I was unaware I did anything wrong until I brought this to my attention via email. I am not certain we have done anything wrong.If some one will show me we have. I will try to resolve. I will provide my contact # 's again if someone would like to discuss.
I have tried to help a lot of people especially on this site. I guess I cannot please everbody and some people like to complain about anything they want to. That is their right. Bit I always like people to ask me about it rather than go behind my back and say something. I really bend over backwards at times to do the right thing.
For example: you would be simply amazed at the the people who will buy a part from us. (we mark or stamp our parts), they then send us their old bad part to us claiming we sent them a bad part. We try to tactfully resolve these issues, you guys would tear them to pieces. I will repeat myself again, "WE TRY TO Do The Right Thing".

"I have tried email and phone calls and nobody responds. Curious if anyone knew of any problems they are having or what. Tired of the truck being broken.

I have been trying to get ahold of them since last thursday and no reply with daily calls and several emails to John and one the guys there Barrett

Someone else was recently complaining about a problem with getting ahold of Tidewater..

I have sent numerous e-mails to jammer over the past two weeks and had no reply yet "

The timing seems kinda funny... None of the phone calls or emails got a response, but suddenly TW appears. Just take it down- it isn't fair to the guy who spent the time to make that stuff.
