Hello Yall Again,

I talked with my web designer , he advised me he would remove the problem. We will come up with a new design. As I said before we try to do the right thing. And kindly remember we are not that big but we answer 150-200 emails a day along with I do not know how many phone calls. We always try to help people figure things out for them.
To date I think I have given out about 2000 CD'S world wide. I would like to think we have helped a lot of people. I think we earned a great deal of respect from people from doing so. I appreciate being made aware of a problem, and we took care of the matter.
Something I have learned in my experiences is that it is not who you are or where you come from but it is how you handle situations as they arise. That is what determines a person.

Best Regards,

Gee, I forgot about distributing bootlegs of copyrighted material... that again speaks for character.
I dunno.. *I* thought it was hilarious-
But it worked-

I'll let you know when I think your opinion matters. When someone lifts something from you, you'll 'feel it.'

Any discussion with that web developer other than 'you're fired' was wasted.

Hello All,

Sy I tried to email you, your link to your email does not work. This is John Miller with Tidewater Rover. You know I was unaware we stole any thing. I hired a fellow to build our web site and create our logo. I will provide his name and address if necessary. I was unaware I did anything wrong until I brought this to my attention via email. I am not certain we have done anything wrong. If some one will show me we have. I will try to resolve. I will provide my contact # 's again if someone would like to discuss.
I have tried to help a lot of people especially on this site. I guess I cannot please everbody and some people like to complain about anything they want to. That is their right. Bit I always like people to ask me about it rather than go behind my back and say something. I really bend over backwards at times to do the right thing.
For example: you would be simply amazed at the the people who will buy a part from us. (we mark or stamp our parts), they then send us their old bad part to us claiming we sent them a bad part. We try to tactfully resolve these issues, you guys would tear them to pieces. I will repeat myself again, "WE TRY TO Do The Right Thing".

Tom, why does the statement denote a 'hack'?

Ok. You have a business and you want to sell things on the web so you hire someone to do a web site for you. That person thinks it would be cool to consciously do a commercial web site design that restricts a good number of people from being able to use the site. It's like having a store front where the doorway in is only 18" wide. Makes as much sense. The person hasn't a clue about marketing or good web design. There is absolutely no reason to design such a site that "is best viewed with IE".

And I meant hack as in banal, crummy. Definitely not hack in the sense of a skillful programmer.

Not knocking anyone ( at least not trying too ) but, as for the bootleg CD comment that was made.. I got one and it wasn't a bootleg home burnt CD.. Looks like the same real deal ones that I have seen else where.. Unless all the ones I have seen are fakes which is possible.. I think that they just got their hands on a huge lot of them and used them as a great way to get their name out there to us.. I know who I'm going to call when I need some cheap parts..

I hada very good experience with Tide Water Rovers. Several phone calls, and we worked out a problem very easily. I'd buy used parts from them again.

Now, back to slamming Kyle in absentia.

Go take a look at their web site, http://www.tidewaterrovers.com/ and you'll see that he stole his images and background from DAP's web site http://www.dap-inc.com

The Land Rover images were designed and altered by DAP's web admin, and Tidewater's folks are so stupid they didn't remove the code that has DAP's name pop up when you put the cursor over the images.

Anyway- DAP took an archive of his source code and is attempting contact.

At least the TideWater site comes up....it takes a month of Sundays to wait on the Dap-Inc site...almost like they are trying to serve it off a home based server or something it is so slow...even with the skip intro...and I am trying to connect on a T1..so it isn't my connection speed 4 sure.
