Did anyone?s Land Rover Decade of Discovery badge come with anything else beside a hunk of aluminum, such as adhesive?

Yes -- I got instructions -- no adhesive though.

But, I bought some magnetic stuff and put it on the back. It is now living on the side of my tool box.

Looks good though.

I'm still working on the decal version- should be doing the test run tomorrow to see how they look.
Where did LR suggest you stick that huge chunk of aluminium? It's the biggest friggin vehicle badge I've ever seen.

I just got back from a weekend out of town- I'll tinker with some test cuts tonight. If all goes well I can have the first run ready and in the mail by the weekend. I have to reload a server at home so while the software loads I should have time to dork with the plotter.

I'm working on the Euro "mountain" wing logos and the CT style "DISCOVERY" logos for over the windscreen too -as well as some other goodies.

Excellent! I'll be there, slaving away in front of a damned bank of monitors--

I think I can get my hands on a few of the Badges from our dealer, we sold alot of the the Discos before we had a chance to install them all.
No guarantees but let me check into it and I will be back in touch,
It,s kind of ironic as we sold a 04 G4 car to one of our club members and they were by today looking for one as well.

the first test cut went ok- just have a little tweaking to do... another evening of tinkering and it might just work.

As for the 'real' badge- kinda sloppy... the back shows machining marks and scratches. Doesn't come with adhesive either. It's so big, it'll look kinda stupid on the truck. I'm making my vinyl version about 1/2 that size.

Steve, let me know when the vinyl is done ? I?m thinking it will be way cool. I went back to dealer today for noise issues and while I was there I also asked how come I didn't get adhesive and directions with the badge; few second?s later tech had precut red adhesive and photo copied directions for me. It was so nice for the sales person not to provide those to me originally:(

My '04 did not come with one... but I aquired one :D through a fellow club member.

3M has a double-sided outdoor adhesive tape which is what I used. It has warnings about trying to remove it later, and ruining the surface it is stuck to. I'm thinking it'll work. Home Depot $3.50

what did the instructions say? "put adhesive on it, stick it on truck" ?

All I gotta do is smooth the cuts out, they are coming out a little jagged. It might even be the blade, so I'll try a fresh blade. Anyone know of a freeware vectorizer?

Freeware vectorizer? the file that I supplied to you should have been a vectorized file, if it wasn't.. let me know and I can resend it to you.. Are all the edges coming out jagged, or any more than others?

The stuff you sent was vectorized- looking for a decent vectorizer for some other goodies I plan to come up with. I'm thinking of using the same background badge shape for the permanent logo for my web site.

The site isn't working yet, just have some placeholder pages...

If the new blade doesn't help, I'll scan the decal and email it to you so you can see how it's coming out. I'm about 50% sure the blade is the problem and not the image.
