the first pic makes me jealous simply because it looks sunny and warm! We've got that damn "horizontal snow" here in Reno.
in the sun it was in the high 30s, in the cloudy shade it was 20.
And yes, the sidehills were nuts.. there were a few drops that were pure ice!

Im leaving Moab this morning, and As im heading out of town I see the sheriff and a statey at the gas station filling up, well I wasnt speeding, the rover was securly on the trailer, and I just drove by.
Well about 3 miles later the state trooper catches up to me and pulls ,me over..
He said it was because my window tint was too dark, Im OK with that, i knew it was and I figured it was a matter of time before I got a fix it ticket. then he made a comment, and asked me why my rover had a license plate on it. I told him it had a plate because it is my vehicle, and thats the plate for it, he then said" well, its not street legal, you have no mud flaps on the back". I said i just modified it last month, and its on a trailer and not on the road, im not driving it, so why is this even a issue.. Well he was ok with that reasoning and walked back to his cruiser to give me my fix it ticket.
Well then the sheriff walks up to my wifes window and says" I need to see your registration and insurance for the vehicle on the trailer. I said Why, he then told me that it was not street legal and it shouldnt be registered and that the plate in now invalid, I told him I have the info, but im not gonna give it to him, be cause im not driving it on the road, and I told him that i have mud flaps at home that are removable so it makes it street legal, and that i trailered it to the trail head. well he then said huh! and walked away..
So a couple minutes go by and I see the sheriff taking pictures of my rover from all sides, and I saw him looking up underneath it at my axles.. So i roll my window down and say " SIR, can i speak to you? he came to my window and I said " why are you taking pictures of my vehicle, he said " i am documenting it", I said why, he said because its not street legal with the rear tires exposed, and that it shouldnt have a plate and he was documenting pictures of it! Then he said all these rock buggy types come into town and drive vehicles not street legal and this that they own this place, So I asked him if he pulls everyone over, and he said we try! I am soooooooo PIssed at this point, he told me the state patrol officer would explain it when he gave me my ticket..
OK so the statey walks up and gives me my fix it ticket for my tint, i told him i understand, i was planning on changing it no worries.. And he started to leave, he wasnt gonna tell me shit about what the sheriff was doing with pictures... So i asked him, why was the sheriff taking pictures of my truck he said it was documentation.. the state patrol said " QUOTE" " ohh huh, well hes just into rock crawlers and jeeps and stuff and he thinks this is cool and wanted some pictures.. so At this point im really pissed! well i bit my lip took it in the ass and left..
THis is total bullshit that I was hasseled about my rover on MY trailer, it was not even on the road..
Ohh and he told me he flagged my rover plate in their system saying it wasnt street legal for no flaps and I may get a letter from the DMV!
