Wow reading that was a mistake, anyone up for RR8? I'll pay for Jack (even though he probably hates me) Just so I can witness the lot of you getting along in person.

It's looking like Rover Rendezvous is going to be a little smaller this year.
Or at least the faces in the crowd will certainly be different.

I'm thinking this would be a good opportunity to re-tool the event. New people are organizing it and they should have the freedom to make the event something different, maybe smaller and less corporate feeling than last year. If it's at PSR this year I'll be there, otherwise I'm probably out. Not a huge fan of Big Bear. I'll take the desert.

Wanna share a camp site??

Honestly I think it will be fun, haven't been but I know I will enjoy putting faces to names.

Don't be silly. Jack doesn't have to pay to attend.

The ranks of SCLR have thinned considerably since last year.

And I shudder to think of who the "trip leaders" might be for '08.

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone finer than the likes of Steve Young with a sidearm and blue lights flashing to represent the event.
You've got plenty of legit people out there. Why not attempt to get them involved?

Exactly, why bitch and not do anything? I am not a member of ANY of the souther clubs organizing it or I would offer help to them in any form possible....

Jack,
As far as trip leaders go, since your knowledge regarding the trails in the event area is so intimate why not be a "trip leader"? Isn't this sort of like watching a robbery and laughing at he victim instead of offering help?

Not speaking for Jack, but I'd guess RR burned that bridge.
