Since this thread was linked to many other forums, it could have been one of the readers there.

Any other channel to do the raffle?

Call me a debbie downer but, Im afraid probably not.

The problem, as we have seen, is that any other avenue would probably still be "illegal". Even if we found out a public way that was still relatively covert, you still have that uncle fucking snake faced douche bag that may or may not report your activites no matter what you do.

If you can find a legal avenue that solves all the problems, then great! And I hope you do.

Whoever did it, you're a fucking chump. I hope your balls catch fire and you try to put out the flame with rubbing alcohol.

bitch.

To Nicholas, keep kicking little buddy. You're going to find dickheads like this all through your life. You just have to deal with them accordingly but, always to take the highroad first. They'll deal with it in the end.

2002 Chrys, I am going over to their house tomorrow to drop some tires off for the pathfinder so i'll see if I can get some numbers off of it so we can get this project going. I'll give you a call when I know.

For an 02 ( assuming its a town and country) its a 3.3 or a 3.8 and i need to know if it has an egr valve

Maybe list the gun for auction on gunbroker.com, then link the listing? Dunno if there's a way to raffle items on gunbroker, or if there's even a legal way to do it at all.

Be really careful raffling stuff. States consider this gambling and they regulate it, if you aren't a bonafide charity its about impossible to do it legally.

In VA it's no big deal. I could print out tickets and raffle the couch i'm sitting on and no one would care. I've sold raffle tickets for just about everything since I was little. I even remember selling raffle tickets for guns in middle school to help with a field trip. You don't see schools doing that anymore. We are going to get this figured out.

You are correct,...

That is why I've said it should be called a "Karma Gratitude", as you will give the rifle as a THANK YOU for the 1/100 donors, and since there is only one rifle, you will randomly select a number to offer your gratitude.

Since the Organizer and the donor of the rifle are excluded, NO GAMBLING LAWS are broken and NO CONFLICT of INTEREST exist :victory:

In VA, just be careful to not make more than $25,000 profit. If you do, you will then be required to file tax returns for the raffle. Otherwise it's pretty simple. Make sure to keep good records in case it's ever questioned.

Sorry guys, I've been busy working and haven't had time to update. The motor is a 3.3L and I have no idea if it has an EGR valve. I took some pics with my phone and wrote down all the numbers on the sticker that ID'd the motor, but all the info is in my truck which i'm not in right now. I'll get back to you when I get home.
