My not so average RRC build.

I agree that the Rockware would be the way to go for a buggy. But its original and pretty clean and a street truck. A Rockware buggy is not so street friendly.

When my Rangie is done, it will be somewhere between an RRC and a buggy.

I'm hoping to finish another 300 swap, a D110 rebuild and then, I can work on MY truck for a welcome and overdue change. I've only been waiting ten years for this. Funny, I had to shut the shop down to do it when opening the shop in the first place was to build a truck for me.

Too bad you didn't pick a Jeep to COMPLETELY FUCK UP!!

Just fucking unbelievable.

Poor Rangie.

Haha! I love this respons! Man you are bent. Relax...

Wow. To each their own.

Looks like a Jeep and all show - Ill give you clearance for now.... So long as you build it to "go" as much as the show now. :)

But the hacked nature of several details is too bad. Hopefully it's a work in progress... Clean up the rear wheel cutouts, the interior, and for gawds-sake get a real spare tire - I understand its bead locks but still ?!

Props for doing something different - just please finish it "right". ;)

Thanks for the props... I guess:rolleyes: I appreciate you giving me clearance for now.... My guess is you didn't read my full build. I can assure you that I haven't cut any corners. This build is no ware near finished. I'm building a spare wheel. Wheel wells are cut and painted... There done and probally done better than 99% of the rigs out there. Interior. I snapped one photo of the interior with a missing head unit, speaker cover and it needs to be cleaned up? Again this is a build not a finished product. Lets take it easy and see where it goes.

Post it up PT and I'll take my heart pills before viewing it! Even the RR bobtails in GB are less chopped than this. Yeah to each his own, yet, why take a pretty decent example of a Classic and mangle it? And do you see a diff guard or does this "build" not find it necessary for the planned use. Just my opinion and yes, like assholes I have one. What a waste.

Your my favorite! You didn't read my build (prob didn't care to) I assume. If you read my build you would quickly find out that my "cleanish" rrc was not so clean. Don't let the first photo fool you. This truck was left to die. You obviously didn't read the first post ether. I'm building axels next. Why the hell would I slap bolt on diff covers on a truck that I've been driving for a week with no plans to wheel it anytime soon? You maybe ok with buying over priced off the shelf parts. I'm not. Built not bought. I'll be fabbing my own weld on's. hell, i may not even use rover axels. I think we're going to get along great! :bigok:

Why not just do this then http://www.rockware.net/rr.html?

Hack up a disco.. but a nice RRC shouldnt have orange beadlocks and tube bumpers. Just my 2 cents

It's all good. When you buy/build your RRC you can buy all the off the shelf over priced cookie cutter parts you want. God forbid you do something "different". Just my 2cents.

Cupgt. Thanks for reading my post. You get it.

Lrflip. I'm with you. I'm not crazy about the lights. I had some military LED headlights bought the buyer backed out. I needed some headlights fast so I scooped these guys up cheap on eBay. They suck btw....

I'm not looking to be like most folks nor do I want to build an average rover. Iv got no beef with guys who do. There are some terrific examples of clean cookie cutter rovers on here. Thats just not for me. To be different your going to have haters and lovers. I'm ok with that. Actually I find all the bashing pretty funny and quite entertaining. If you guys hate it now its probably a good idea to not check my updates. Some of you guys took this as a finished rig. Well I'm going to get back to fucking up my wanna be Jeep :flipoff4: Flame suit on!

Just paint those orange bead locks a different color and it will be good. Carbon fiber is for the rad racers. Wood trim bra. You want wood trim on the inside.

It's all good man. Honestly I could care less for your approval or what you think looks good. I'm not going to post something because YOU don't like it.

If it was trashed when you got it, I'll cut you some slack. When you said, "Cleanish" in the lead post I took you at your word.

I honestly thought this may be the one thread that didn't completely get bashed by everyone. I love the build, you certainly are doing it right and making that truck stand out. We drive $2,000 trucks, who cares what you do to it? I like it a lot, looking forward to the completely finished product.

Mall crawler? yes. but the truck looks terrific

The wood was a mess. I own a carbon fiber company. I think it's clean and different. It's not for everyone. I dig it.

Uh... Thanks for cutting me some slack... I will correct that. I assumed when I bought it that it was "cleanish".

I wasn't asking. But it's all good. Who knows by the time I'm done you may like.

I'm going to, with as much courtesy as possible, call bullshit on your not caring.

No one post their 'build' on the internet with absolutely no desire to hear attaboys and good-on-you's. It's human nature to desire approval and feel insulted, if ever so slightly, when someone busts your chops.

Your thick skin will be useful here. Dweb isn't for the weak.

You nailed it. I bought mine for 3k. Mall crawler... For now. I talked to you before about trading the prerunner I built for your Disco. Hope all it well.

I guess. If anything I've found my build usefull to others. I won't lie, over a year of welding, grinding, painting, fucking up things, redoing them, etc its nice to see folks give me an at a boy. As far as the negative stuff I just let go. I'm a capable fabricator and I feel I have a good grip on what I'm doing. I like doing my thing...

Dweb isn't bad. On pirate you have to ware your flame suit 24/7. If something doesn't look perfect your in for it. I have a feeling you guys are gonna like me. What a way to start a build thread
