I could recommend a bunch of text type history books if you want I can dig up the info from old paper sources all of which had tons of good info, but not necessarily good reads.

I've got about 40 books on WW2 as well as a few about Korea and WW1.
You'll like The Ten Thousand Day war. It throws Uncle Ho in a different light then what we are used to hearing. Basically, he just wanted the French out of his country and didn't care who helped him and yes, the United States was asked.
