Another gripe I have about the Trxus is when airing down. Almost everytime I have aired down below 20 PSI to really conform to the rocks, they pop a bead. Live and learn, they do not behave like a BFG MT.

Bri, I air down my truxus tires to 18 PSI all the time with mine and have never popped a bead. I 'm not saying your not but it might be your rims or something. Are you using steel or mag?

I have run Cooper, goodyear, mich, and bridgestone but the one that I find to be the best at what I want, which is great traction off road and good handling on road (no shake at all), is the pro-comp MT's. They have a little highway roar but nothing that you can't talk over or that the radio can't drown out.

I air the TrXus down to 15 regularly and I've never de-beaded, but it's an 88" and they're 235/85s, so maybe size matters?? Ironically (maybe?), I errantly aired down the BFG MTs to around 14-15 and de-beaded two of them at MAR this year (255/85 on 16x7 rims).

Well, there you have it (or not). I never blew a beed on the BFG MTs/ATs that I have run w/ castor alloy, but have numerous times on the Trxus w/ NATOS steels. Good point on the rims.

Do any others running NATOs have problems with blow beads running 235/85? All of mine have been blown on this rim. However, I thought the rim was close if not identical to the alloy, maybe I am wrong, anyone know off the top of ter head?

I would think that it would be more difficult to blow a bead on a 6.5" NATO vs 7" Castor, does the material make a difference?

Hmmm...

Will: How many miles did your GY MTR's last for a 50% tread wear? Were they also 265/75R16?

PO unavailable, no data on install date or miles. Purchased D1 last Feb w/~86k miles tread life then not much greater say 65%, one rotation since Feb, miles now ~95k. PO set up rig for mainly rock crawling/sand in So Cal, Sierra's and Moab. D1 originated with Land Rover Club of San Diego.
