Just went wheelin in Anza Barrego out east and the coopers kick some serious ass. I did not even have to shift into low. I will have do get a stereo place to do that It looks factory. I think it is funny people get so wrapped up in the way other people's truck look. I think your steelies are practical. I personally do not look forward to getting rock rash on my black powdercoated hurricanes, but I do love the way they look. Originally my truck came with the 18" chrome mondial wheels. My girlfriend loved them she is from Philly. I on the other hand hated them. Anyway I will be posting pics of my tire carrier soon. Do not take any shit from people that have crappy D1's in there avatar pic. I owned a 99' D1 and it was way underpowered!

I always thought 20" fake beadlocks were the official wheel of the wannabe badass poseur offroaders, and steel wheels were just a good cheap way to mount a tire to the hub, guess I was wrong about that.

As for where this thread is headed, it could get ugly between the wheel bashing, ricerocket bashing, D1 bashing, and who wheels more pissing contest. I'll stay tuned.

yes, you are right, I do have a 4.6 in my D1. My 4.0 dropped a sleeve this summer and it was cheaper to put in a 4.6. I have also worked at a Rover dealership for 2 years so don't start telling me that D1 engines are pieces of shit and P38 engines are fucking gold...

Low box is optimal for you and your truck. It is better for the drivetrain and it makes the truck more capable. Only a moron would be proud of not using it.
