I appreciate you taking the time to respond and sorry to hijack your post. Jen and LeeAnn are great, I just wish they would understand our position. In my opinion Jen and LeeAnn are welcome back at any time. We would love to see you at one of our events. Next fall we are in Richloam again and that is close so keep that in mind. Things are changing in the group I believe and for the better. I can assure you the leadership is working hard to make it a more responsible group. I appreciate the feedback. Gordo- a snorkel is cheaper than replacing an engine... even though it's really just for looks. Keep mentioning the 'cheaper than engine' thing. I'm lucky, my wife ASKED for a snorkel on hers.

yeah, mines pregnant too... she's still in the barfing phase though at 2.5 months. Funny- I showed her a pic of the mantec and was explaining how it's the one that was on the "real" G4 Discos and while I was explaining it, she covered her mouth and ran out of the room. I thought she didn't like the snorkel... Then later she asked for it.

Mine is not pregnant, but she is the reason (well I like to think anyway) that me disco is parked sideways in the driveway, where the tow truck dropped it. We hit a huge red neck mud hole Friday night and she called me a wimp for not driving the play ground, still flooded from Wilma. I ended up with water above the drivers seats. The safari snorkel leaked (woops) and hydra locked the engine. Tried again last night to start the old girl. It actually fired, ran for 30 seconds and then died. Will not fire again. The dealer wont touch it becuase it is a 1997 GEMS SE7, but with a 4.6 and a 5 speed. THe ECU Still thinks it is a 4.0 with auto gear box. I am considering junking the truck, Stripping for parts and starting over with a low milage 95 Disco.

3 Inch Body Lift

Poly Bushings
QT Correction Control Arms
ETc , ETC

Point of the story, Mantec is the best choice as the setup for Safari moves the air box. Add in the body lift, and there is no way to get a complete seal. I like the Safari look, but now I am stuck driving a car for a few weeks.

On a DII, the Safari is ok- it doesn't move the air box, but the connection to the box seems lame. I'll admit that the reason we are getting the Mantec is 99% bling. I'm not allowed to take her truck offroad.

on that note of the hydrolok if you suffocate your motor, just stop look and listen dont get excited carry wd40 always of course. start with iplastic ntake and air box removal open butterfly by hand have some buddys tilt your rig to dump water out of intake pull all plugs bump motor 1x do not over crqnk motor tell your buddy to stand back unlee thier faces need washing. spray wd into plg holes alot. rept as necesary put it all back together mins air filter of course change oil on trail if you can wit a litl luv and some sweet talkin she will probably start if you need it to change the oil with some cheap oil asap again clean your pan it just may be ok just dont get rough until you can do some examing!!!!!!!!



I CAN SAY ALL THIS BECAUSE IVE DON IT, 8 MONTHS STILL, KICKIN LIKE A DURACAP CHICKEN!!!!
