Next time you are in Orlando, let me know. Always an open door. We have a big event in Febuary or so, hosted by Rico, that is the best group of people. We also run Ocalla and otehr places in a group of 6 trucks or so. Stop on by. I will keep you posted on the snorkel via email. Thanks

I have the safari snorkel. Looking to switch over to the Mantect. I have a three inch body lift and can't seem to get the best seal with the safari snorkel. I like the bog hunk o plastic, but with the body lift it moves the air box into a weird position. I figured tradig the fender and air box would be a good deal. Makes installation easy and less time consuming. So far no one has claimed the set. Still cen't get the truck to fire.

Disco 2 snorkel

Steve

I called the UK and went ahead and UPSed a Series II snorkel, as it seems those are more of what people want. I also order two D1s in the same shipment. Same as with the others a deposit is appreciated. Will keep you posted on the arrival.

I'll PayPal you at some point today- $250 OK till it arrives?

The wife's G4 doesn't have a snorkel and the only one that looks right on the G4 is the Mantec.

Saving more than 10% on an item that is traditionally never sold less than full retail is a good thing... not to mention supporting a good guy. Win/Win.

Well

Well, I was thinking about getting a Mantec snorkel for my RRC as that is a good deal and Im working on the wife for that, but as VP of the FLRC I need to know why you never had a good time with us? Ive been a member for about 7yrs now and Ive never had a bad time. Now we are holding rallies in Richloam and are the only club allowed to hold an event there. We still do Osceola in the spring. We are actively involved in the Friends of the Florida Forests doing clean ups and have a new set of bylaws governing our group. Not too mention we have held charities for All Childrens Hospital (Christmas Toy Drive) and collected donations (about 200 bucks) for the Red Cross. I dont think there are many other 4 wheel drive clubs that do things like this and I for one am proud to be a long standing member. That being said our group is a bunch of HARD CORE offroaders and we do scare off a few newbs every rally, but since you own a shop I wouldnt think that you were a newb when you came out? You should give us another shot. Since Mike Costello and I have taken over the club things have ran much smoother. Yeah we still have a reputation for being carnage seekers, but again we dont deny being an off road club. This is no brie and wine group for sure. Anyway, Turd you will have a blast at our rally dont worry about it. It is a great group of guys and girls. Now that being said many of you may know Jenn and LeeAnn (rippers/discojen). Rippers was picking fights on our board and bad mouthing members and sponsors. When confronted by Mike (Prez) she got all upset and started the ANTI RALLY in Ocala. We both tried to reason with her but she is TOTALLY UNREASONABLE and denied doing anything wrong. The FLRC isnt going to let members act like jerks on our board and we quickly removed the offending posts. They are now on a mission to "hate" us and there is nothing we can do. Funny thing is about 1.5 yrs ago, I tied up to their stock D1 and pulled them carefully through some deep holes out in Richloam. I personally scanned and emailed her pages from my WSM so she could fix the dizzy on Rippers Classic. Not long ago they were newbs and we welcomed with open arms. Well you cant please everyone and Im off the point here but Steve, PM me with your thoughts/issues with the club or just post it here. Im working the wife on the snorkel but since I just got a pair of ARB lockers it aint looking good! Thanks Gordo

It was on the FLRC board....not DWeb.

Rico definitely puts together a nice run...I've only been to one (my first rover outing too) of his gigs, but I had a blast.

Stephen, next time you're in Ocala let me know. That is, if you don't mind me tagging along with your group. I'll probably be buying a snorkel from you relatively soon as well.

will a $50 deposit keep one reserved??? Holy hek you're in orlando? You in FLRC??

safarirover
50.00 will hold one for you. I am in Orlando and not a part of FLRC. I have never had a good time with those guys. Nothing against them. Went to three rallies and each time swore I would never go back.

As VP of the Florida Landrover club, I was just curious to why Safarirover said he doesnt have a good time with the club. Ive been in the club for sometime and have been VP for two years now. Never had a bad time. Gordo

I am not up on the mess with Jenn and LeeAnn on the board. I met them a few days ago and they seem great to me, but everyone is open to their experience and opinions. From my personal experience and I take it you are asking for feedback. Several of us around Orlando, have always secretly held an Ocalla get together on the same weekend as the FLRC events. I did attend in North Florida I guess it was six months ago. Here is my honest take as to why several groups around Orlando have traditionally skipped the rallies.

1. Rover Kindship- In our past expereinces there seems to be very little unity in the club. Generally groups of old friends hang togther and that is it. It is hard to explain, but it seems like in the past there has always been 10 clubs rolled under one name.

2. The past leadership was not very open, and somewhat hard to approach if not down right frustrating.

3. There are several people in the club that are less than ethical.

I hear that things are changing in the club, and that is a great thing. I wish all you guys and gals well and if I don't have a vehicle on the lift I will make it a point to be there with wadders and an open mind at the next event
