I currently wheel an '89 Hunter. It is green with matching body-color wheels. It has cloth seats, a lighter wood trim (American Maple?) on the doors and around the gear selector. There was no wood trim on the dash in the '89 Hunter. I believe that they were shipped from the factory with springs instead of the EAS. This one, of course, has the cloth seats, and they are in great condition. Mine has power locks, windows, and moonroof. My understanding is that for the model year 1989, there were 200 made. Mine was about 210,000 mikes on it and runs strong. It has the BW transfer case. I don't know if they came without an ABS system, as the wiring and mounting holes are present. I bought it last year from Trevor when he was with Treasured Motorcars. It has been a lot of fun. I have 3 inch RTE springs, EE retainers, and RTE dif guards. Hopefully by Uwharie Safari this spring, I will have the RTE front and rear bumpers and a winch. (I have managed to crunch both of the bottoms of the rear panels and the front bumper on various obsticles...beauty marks on the Hunter!

no 89's had ABS or EAS.

one of the features was the self tinting miror on the 89 hunter, most had the self adjusting type.

self tint mirror became standard in 90.

Ive got a Arran Beige 91, with 112xxx miles. No rust issues has power windows and the self dimming mirror, no sunroof. Not a bad truck, the seats dont work or the rear windows. I havent had time to do anything with other than a tune up and some bushings. It would be cool to start a Hunter registry. I am suprise they didnt number them like they did the Defenders or some other models that were "special".

Recently sold a Beige Hunter, and still have a Eastnor Green one. Neither had sunroof, both power windows.

I came so close to pulling the trigger on this truck. Glad someone is using it!

I have owened two. A green and a Arran Beige, Both had power windows & no sunroof. Just sold the Arran beige one to a good friend of mine. That one was featured in Land Rover Enthusiast in April 2002. It was a one owner with all paperwork including window sticker. It had over 170,000 on it and has never been apart. I still have a extra Hunter sales brochure & magazine ad. Also a goodyear ad that featured the Hunter as well (hunters were the only RR sold with goodyears) All silver wheels as well. The Hunters also did not have sway bars. Used american walnut on the doors but no dash wood treatment. No load compartment cover. Dog Guard and cargo net on the gate standard. The small chin spoiler on the Hunter is the UK Diesel spoiler. Only RR sold in the US without power seats. Although the Hunter does not have ABS it uses ABS calipers. Even the owners manual had the hunter logo on it. I have a new spare gate decal in Silver. I also have a factory Range Rover instructional video called winching with an exceptional vehicle. It features winching techniques using a Arran Beige Hunter. There also were 125 Hunters in 1989 but these were a upscale treatment. They used the same gate decal. They had green wheels to match the paint. I hated to see it go but I needed the space for my XD. Scott

That green one was one of my first Rover loves. I was graduating from high school and you had it on the lot for sale I think.

The Hunter is my all time favorite. If I could find a Hunter in the same shape as my 94 I would trade up in a heartbeat.

I saw an arran beige Hunter in Kinston Tuesday evening with Va plates. Had a steering skid lift and maybe rocksliders, maybe 2" springs and 32" tires. Looked good I thought for a second my truck had been stolen.
