Has anyone seen a registry for the RRC hunter editions? I know not all 405 (1991 model) of them made it onto the road/trails in hunter trim. I am curious as to how many are still around.

It was actually a "budget" Range Rover back in '91. It had a cloth interior, no ABS system, no front air spoiler or fog lights, and no power windows/sunroof(unless special ordered by dealers). Mine was $38,575 (with sunroof & p/windows)from South Bay Autohaus in Torrance, CA in 1991.LRbeave said:what is special about a hunter?
tikicar said:I have owened two. A green and a Arran Beige, Both had power windows & no sunroof. Just sold the Arran beige one to a good friend of mine. That one was featured in Land Rover Enthusiast in April 2002. It was a one owner with all paperwork including window sticker. It had over 170,000 on it and has never been apart. I still have a extra Hunter sales brochure & magazine ad. Also a goodyear ad that featured the Hunter as well (hunters were the only RR sold with goodyears) All silver wheels as well. The Hunters also did not have sway bars. Used american walnut on the doors but no dash wood treatment. No load compartment cover. Dog Guard and cargo net on the gate standard. The small chin spoiler on the Hunter is the UK Diesel spoiler. Only RR sold in the US without power seats. Although the Hunter does not have ABS it uses ABS calipers. Even the owners manual had the hunter logo on it. I have a new spare gate decal in Silver. I also have a factory Range Rover instructional video called winching with an exceptional vehicle. It features winching techniques using a Arran Beige Hunter. There also were 125 Hunters in 1989 but these were a upscale treatment. They used the same gate decal. They had green wheels to match the paint. I hated to see it go but I needed the space for my XD. Scott
