It all depends on how it pans out. As a fellow border state resident, I'm pretty well versed on the issues associated herein. Personally, I don't see a problem with granting certain rights to the "good illegals". This is a very benign group of people he's talking about here....brought to the states as minors by their parents, high school degree or equivalent, no criminal record, been here at least 5 years.

Keep in mind that the major benefit of this is that you actually get to find out who's here. All of the eligible people get registered, ID'd, etc.

I also personally don't think that Obama should give them "work permits" whatever that means. All he'll do is set up another (lower) class of people. If they are good enough to be given work permits then just make them Americans.

Like I said, let's see how it pans out.

It's an election year, and I believe he's reaching deep for the Hispanic vote. I just don't know why the POTUS can over step a Federal Law, and say it's ok?

This guy & I simply live in a different world:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog...video-obama-if-youve-got-business-you-didnt-/

Obama - 'If you?ve got a business -- you didn?t build that. Somebody else made that happen'

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back. They know they didn?t -- look, if you?ve been successful, you didn?t get there on your own. You didn?t get there on your own. I?m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.)

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you?ve got a business -- you didn?t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn?t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don?t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

Dumb everything down, let's all go with the lowest common denominator. You're not so smart, there are a lot of smart people out there. You're not such a hard worker, there are a lot of hard workers out there. You're not special, we're all special. Let the government guide you, just follow along and don't make any noise. Good boy.

He doesn't need to dig deep, George Lopez just gave him plenty of advertisement in his latest HBO comedy presentation. When he started that, I just changed to another channel. And so he is saying it's alright for the parents to break the law so that the kid will have an advantage?
