Empty Promises by President Obama

Unfortunately, many of the things President Obama has promised the American public during his campaign and even after he has now been elected, will not be realized.

Shit happens, but for all of us sore losers out there, I'd like to start a thread that states what he promised and how he failed to fulfill that promise. Hopefully, this thread won't be as long as some of the other Obama threads we've debated.

I'll start:

Promise:

Lobbyists will not be able to work on matters they lobbied on or in agencies of which they lobbied during the previous two years. "When you leave government, you will not be able to lobby my administration for as long as I am president."

Reality:

President Obama wants William Lynn, former lobbyist for a big defense contractor called Raytheon, to be Deputy Defense Secretary in his administration.

How's that for transparency?

FWIW: The strongest feelings I had when I realized Obama won the election was watching everyone who stood behind him with so much HOPE in their eyes about what he was promising to accomplish and thinking, how in the SHIT is he going to deliver on all of that and what are these people going to think of him when he doesn't? The saddest part was from the look in their eyes, I don't think it will matter at all.

Let's keep him (and his supporters) honest about Obama and the promises he made.

Look, let's clean this up. Here is how it SHOULD be said for better accuracy.

It is fair to say that quite a few black people voted for him because they think he is black.

To suggest any different is silly.

The fact is, down here people were, for the first time that I am aware of, lined up all over the damn place voting. Black people who logically, among their number, stood with multitudes of people who had never seen a voting booth in their life. How do I know?

The places were absolutely clogged with black people, and they never have been before. I ought to know, I was there with my eyes open, as I am every time.

Only one conclusion can be drawn from this.

There is the way you want the world to be, and then there is the way it actually is.

It still doesn't mean anything. 80 percent of people are idiots. Blacks are not immune from this, and neither is anyone else.

Plenty of white people voted for him for worse reasons than his color.

Idiocy is definitely not limited to blacks. All I am saying is that for most people (to include stupid whites, hispanics, etc), he is more Hollywood than Washington. More of his supporters can tell you what balls he attended, and what brands of clothes the First Lady wears, than what he has done and what he has failed to do in his first week in office. Most will have absolutely no knowledge of whether or not he has come through on his promises. Change has come to Washington, huh?

I did not make that up. The stimulus package is being reworked right now to include a huge reparation check to these Pakistani families. Garrett, Obama is calling on you to lend a few goats for this America crisis. The money that was slated to go to "typical white people" is now going elsewhere.

Also there is no way 99% of blacks voted for Obama, when roughly 30% of the black population is in jail or has committed a felony and lost the right to vote. Amazing. Again how can 12% of the overall population cause so many problems? BHO will rectify the problem, he start some inner city programs and line the walls of the facilities with dollars.
