Nice build... this man has some serious skills. Go Noles!
What are the next moves? You working on the axles yet?
Shawn,
Just came across this. Your truck looks great. Like it or not, it is well done. I'm surprised you have not built the entire body our of carbon fiber by now. Lol
Your original wheels and tires are running great on my 110.
GLWS of your condo. Can't imagine what you will do with a proper shop.
so, this is what Widener is always complaining about.
I never really understood it until now.
Good work man, don't stop posting here just because these "purists" can't handle something other than Equipe and Old Man Emu.
Keep going, completely "fuck it up". I wish mine were that fucked up....
Although I will say, I'm not a huge fan of what you did with the headlights...
Fwiw, those tires suck. They are heavy. The tread is so so. They are great for enforcing tyranny at the mall though. That thing needs some tsl's. No offense but when ever I see those hummer tires all I can think is truck nuts and suspension that flexes a grand total of 4".
Aside from the carbon fibre and what not what have you done regarding axles, suspension, etc?
Personally, I prefer the clean original classic look on 37" tsl's but to each their own.
Matthew,
I think the truck looks great.....but I hate the tires and carbon fiber. Carbon fiber in or on a classic is like a stripper wearing green corduroys and brown shoes on stage.....she can shake her titties all she wants at me but until she puts the proper attire that a stripper should be wearing on stage she isn't getting a $20 shoved in the crack of her ass by me.
So, have you even taken this thing off road yet? and that hummer test track doesnt count!
Lets see this thing in action! I may have only used bolt on parts on my truck, but at least mine gets used often! It sees more trail time then street time.
Just curious, What kind of wheeling is there in Florida? Not trying to be a smart ass...I can only think of swamps and mud bogs.
Wow, seriously folks, some people need a new frickin hobby!
Dude has spent a tone of time fabricating (w solid skills!) and building the truck that HE wants, all the while making no claims that it's the supreme crawler or anything else.
Like most of us, trial and error is the root of our truck's evolution. That's the fun part.
So who really gives a shit if we don't like the color or tires or angles on the bumper etc. I'm sure he doesn't, nor should he.
Nice work Shawn!
