abs light and grinding noise when crusing over 35

Okay felt like I could knock two birds out with one stone in this thread. My abs light is on don't know why was like that when I bought the truck, huge deal, or should I be worried. How do I do the test to tell what would be wrong with my abs. Also when I let off the gas at over 35mph it makes a quite grinding noise it's also done that since I got it so I have zero clue what that would be. I've looked both things up on the forum and couldn't find an answer to either. If I could have some help that would be much appreciated :)

ABS - more likely, one or both of the front sensors are dead or dying. Not a big deal.

The second symptom - check oil in the transfer case.

Question about the ABS on my '95. The modulator is already pulled and replumbed without it. Will the world cease to spin if I leave the wheel sensors in place and just cut the cables to them?

Absolutely not. The world will continue to spin :)
Unless they bug the shit out of you, you can just leave the cables where they are. Or, I suspect, a regular wine cork will fit right in.
