Need one for my zuk project. I think the years of the non ABS classics was 87-89. Basically it has the small upper swivel pin and the cone upper bearing instead of that flat bearing. 2 upper swivel pins would be nice too.

If it all assists you are right im running 87 classic non abs knuckle on 97 disco axles, a few years after i exploded the lousy former 10 spline diff into a gazillion chunks i found that by removing the two shims in the halfshaft i was able to mate the stub shafts i had into the cv's of the 24 splines lol i have no idea that the interchange was so generous and in the sea of parts it all seems to work well but i had to do all this as the knuckles are handed in my case right hand drive, as i as a stop gap you could use the ABS swivels and just tie up or cut off the wires, i got offered tonight a brace of classics 87 & 88 pre ABS trucks but the seller is asking OTT for essentially 18 year old scrap that unless people express a desire for Pre-89 stuff im reluctant to bring them in as they have the 3.5's and the 14CU not X systems - really old kit but not old & interesting like say a pre-82 with exposed filler neck & SU carbs etc, if your interested in a bunch of parts that might make the purchase and trucking costs viable for me to want to get these in then pm me - On the axles have you tried Will Tillery or Paul Grant they may have these as well?

Cheers Dom

Dom, you might want to use a bit of punctuation. I had to read that about 4 times to comprehend what you were saying.

It's not the fact of not using abs in my case. I could just cut the sensors and leave the disco stuff in there. What I'm going for is to get rid of that flat bearing under the upper swivel pin. I'm going to be running 36's on this truck and don't want to be replacing that bearing all the time. I know someone out there has one. I just wish I could find my other one. :banghead:

Hi Steve
yea twas a late night mucho drywalling and the dreaded mudding getting ready for grand opening on the 9th too much coffee lol and my grammer went to the dogs!

Yep your right that shim is a PIA, so by sheer fluke of having to fit the right hand drive hubs ive avoided that hassle which will come in handy when i add the 3" body lift to the new galvanised frame thats on a 2" OME spring lift, seen some nice Michelin 9" high tires but they are $$$'s - good luck and post some pics :) Dom
