I found out some great news. Magna Donnelly Corporation stands behind their mirrors and will replace them for free including shipping!

Is this true for older (96) rear view mirrors? I've gotten used to mine having the grey oval in the middle but if they will replace for free, what the hell!

Dude - please tell all how you know this! My 98 D1 mirror looks like it is half filled with brown liquid on the bottom, but the top is clear.

Good luck. Let us know how it works out. They used to do this, but I think since the info got out, they've stopped doing it. The last time I talked to someone over there, they told me they weren't replacing them anymore.

That was a couple of years ago though.
