97 D1- front passenger window regulator replaced 1 month ago. Worked fine until now.

Every time I pull up on my E-brake, (while the window is in the up position) the window makes a horrible loud popping, clicking sound, like if the window is trying to force it?s way up more, even though it is closed. Also, when I try to put the window down, it pops loudly and seems to have a difficult time going down.

How is the e-brake connected to the window, and why is it popping like that?

Thanks!

i dont see how the ebrake is connected at all, short of somehow its pinching a wire, but that seems far fetched.

it sounds like your regulator is broken again. either it was installed wrong, faulty, or if you a bought a used one, there ya go. my drivers side reg pops when it goes down, has for years, but until it actually stops rolling down i wont fix it. take the door skin back off and take a look. unplug the motor and do the ebrake and see what happens, etc.

Yep...it was totally bent. I tried to bend the arms back to shape and reinstall it, but it didn't work. Looks like I'll be giving Will a hollar pretty soon for another regulator. I still can't figure out why it would pop when I pulled on the e-brake though!?
