Ive got the Superwich X9 on the Discovery and its pretty solid. On the LR3 I have the Warn 9.5XP and I like them just about the same. Watch out with Superwinch as it will reel in a couple feet after you let go of the button under no load. The Warn doesn't do this as much. The quality on both is superb. Worth every penny.

im looking real hard at the Super Winch EPi 9.0. 4 by 4 connection has them with the free snach block for $615:drool:
i have an EP9.0 on my rover. great winch, external brake keeps the drum cool, which is ideal for synthetic. fast as well, @ 6000lbs it pulls at 9fpm, only .5fpm slower than a warn 8274. it has never let me down, and you get can one for a great price.

I would recommend buying from somewhere that is not located in Va so you don't have to pay tax on it. Another thing to think about is if you order from a place like truckaddons.com you do not get a tracking number but you do get free shipping. FYI from truckaddons.com it is $593 with about a $12 handling fee.

yeah truckaddons has them for like $606 and with that shipping and handling is still cheaper than buying it instate. im also thinking about getting some Amsteel Blue winch line to go with it and im just going to build a bumper

thanks everyone for all your help, so many winches, so little time;) ha ha ha ha

Talk to a guy at work who's buddy got stuck hard in the hole in your avatar enoz. He was in a Jeep Ragoneer and got it totally high centered. The guy in another jeep trying to pull him out blew an engine.

I would do the opposite, support Virginia based companies if you can and do business locally when possible. Why spend your money out of state if it only saves 5% ?!
