Okay so I ordered a winch from Winchdepot.com on friday and I'm trying to figure out how to track the item. But there is nowhere (that I can find) on the website to track an item. Also, I cannot find a number to call to ask about tracking so I turn to discoweb where I figured some others may have ordered from winchdepot before. Thanks.

I've never ordered from winchdepot.com before, but I did order from tirepackage.com which is affilated with it and never got a tracking number or anything.. finally a week or so after i placed the order, a freight company called and asked when I wanted it delievered and I got the tires perfectly.

That being said.. on a lot of other forums people talk about how they've sent money into these places and never got anything in return... and like you said, no way to contact them. When I was looking for a winch, I tried to price match them against some other place, the other place called Warn to see why their price was so low and Warn said that they were not an authorized dealer and that they have gotten complaints for them.

So whats that mean? I don't know.. good luck :)

I ordered a set of 255/85 BFG Muds from Tire Package and I had a hell of a time with them.

First off, they sent me an email saying that the number I submitted did not match the one that the credit card company had on file. Thats cool, I sent them an email, and thought all was well and good.

Well, I never got a response, so I tried calling them, but they never picked up the phone. So I left a voice mail, and specifically asked them to call me back when they received it. I never got a response by either email or phone, and I left several voicemails.

So finally, I just called and said, cancel my order that I'm done trying to deal with them. They never charged by credit card, and I kept a close watch on it, seeing as I expected to have to contest their charge.

Terrible customer service and it sounds like the same thing is happening to you.

I only had one problem with them, but they fix it and i had the replacement winch in two days. :applause:

I am trying to confirm that WinchDepot.com (United Web Sales, 3419 E Chapman Ave. Orange, CA 92869) is an authorized Warn Dealer and repair service. They provide no phone contact information. Thank you, Mike

"Not a direct customer" just means they are buying from another Warn distributor. By buying from a non-dealer you may get less service from Warn if you have a warranty claim, but the warranty should still be valid. Warn relies on their dealers and distributors to provide service, which you probably won't get. You pay a price when it comes to saving a few bucks- it's a gamble that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. For the most part, Warns are fairly reliable though.
I was so put off by one of the Warn coporate guys that I'll never give that company a dime of my money. Let's just say that he (and apparently he speaks for the company) thinks quite badly about Rover owners.

well, I got my winch today, and everything was fine. so I guess from my point of view, that they are a trustworthy company.
