hi got a 2001 d2 with 96k on it....all of a sudden when i hit bumps that make the truck rock side to side i feel a lil thump in my seat and the whole truck really....anybody heard of this...im sorry i cant be more specific it just started tonight and im trying to see if i can locate it more

I got this too after falling in a washout. I thought it may be a transmission mount, but I haven't checked them yet.
yeah it does feel solid and heavy, i feel it in the floor on my feet and i feel it in the seat...its only at low speeds when u go over a curbed driveway and stuff like that...or when there are numerous bumps in the road and i am going aprx 5mph and the truck rocks back and forth side to side...im goign to put it in the air tonight after work and look underneath
Yep that's the way mine feels. Weather permitting, I'm going to look at my transmission mounts this weekend. I'll let you know.

May sound dumb, but check to make sure that your exhaust isn't contacting on of the bolts on the rear suspension where it goes over the axle. Used to see quite a few of those on early Disco II's.

Get under the truck in the rear and have someone rock it while you watch your watts linkage. There, you found your problem.

I would recommend the cones
I had the exact same thing a few years back. It turned out to be a loose bushing between the body and frame. Rule nothing out. Sway bar, control arm bushings, shock bushing.
Found mine, it is the top bushing for the watts linkage. Found it by lying under the rover and have a friend rock it from side to side.
