I've got 17 computers running simultaneously in the house and another 6 in my office across town. I have them all linked and ported with my online businesses, custom statistical inventory control software, and various live inport/export update programs. I'm working on linking with a live always-on system in my vehicle that can teleport information and updates seamlessly. I already have a heads-up display put together and something like this GP2600 would save me the hassle of piecing together a custom module. It's way overkill for this particular application but I'd probably spend $4K in time & materials doing it on my own.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

I don't even have one (newer than 1997 that is) computer at my home and one at work is enough! WOW!

I was thinking of routing it through an inverter off the ARB fridge and running some CAT 5 line to the mainframe in the rear compartment of my DI. You know what I'm talking about!

How can everyone be ignoring Garrett? He's thinking out of the box....genius, pure genius.

Had to run to Albuquerque yesterday for work but now I'm back.

Thanks for posting those pics. Unfortunately the serial number is too high. The first two production runs of the GP2600 are the most desirable as they don't have any proprietary data encryption software installed. Later production runs (of which yours is one) had various ecription software pre-loaded and it's a bitch to rid the systems of it. It's not just a matter of software; it's the way the signals are processed in the later runs that slows down the overall performance.

Garrett still might be interested, depending on his application.

Thanks again.
