Who am I?

Who Am I?

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was
born in another country. I was not his only child. He
fathered several children with numerous women.

I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no
interest in me.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name.

My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to
produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith but converted to
Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I
practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow
Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young
adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about
them.

That was before I decided it was time to get serious about
my life and I embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear
to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties
accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30's then with
help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as
a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had
a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history,
and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I
was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as
though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.

I drew incredibly large crowds during my public
appearances. This bolstered my ego.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's
foreign policy...... I was very critical of my country in
the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my
country..

But what launched my rise to national prominence were my
views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a
really good plan on how we could do better and every poor
person would be fed & housed for free.

I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this
mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I
decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were
envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.

I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that
sounded good to all people.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside
the traditional path of politics & was able to gain
widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope',
together we could change our country and the world.

So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on
behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include
"persecuted minorities". My true views were not
widely known & I kept them unknown, until after I became
my nation's leader.

I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have
easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply
read my writings and examined those people I associated
with.

I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most
powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.

Who am I?

Ya know, as much as I hate Obama's policies, I'm pretty damn proud that our country could elect him. Name one other country in the world that would elect a second generation citizen (let alone allow him to become a citizen), who is a minority in their country to their highest office. Go ahead, name ONE....

Only in America....

Our representative democracy is still the strongest in the world and one that every other country (especially those that don't have free/liberal democracies) envy. 233 years old and still going strong...

What I find amusing is the fact that the folks who drank the kool-aid during the campaign, are slowly coming about to the fact that he is a giant blow up doll.

I don't understand how you can be proud of "America" for electing a president whose policies you hate? That is simply, moronic.

Blind patriotism is not true patriotism.

edit

I googled what I just wrote. This is what I found.

David Alan Black:
True patriotism is understanding the concept of freedom, and both living it and teaching it to others. It is not blind support of a politician—any politician! As Richard Falk once said, “Confusing patriotism with unconditional support for government policy does core damage to the meaning of citizenship.” Why, then, label “unpatriotic” those who make an honest effort to call Americans back to the Constitution? Criticize their ideas if you like, but not their loyalty!
That would be true patriotism.

What else would you expect from somebody who jumps into a thread about Hitler, and announces how proud he is of Obama?

Why do we need to compare Obama to Hitler when we know he is wrong anyway. He's wrong, simple, end of story.

No, our Democracy is not strong, not in the least. It is entering it's final phases before collapse. One of two things is about to happen:

a. There will be a major Conservative revolution where we actually start living by the words in the Constitution, stop legislating our freedoms away, and actually accept the idea of freedom of religion and race and speech and capitalism.

b. America will melt. It will do so in the next 6-8 years. Daily life will hardly change, but you will notice that you won't be taking family vacations any more, you won't own any guns, you will be taxed very high, even higher for owning a Rover, and we will still have a government that is run by a single party, as it is today -- fascism -- our influence around the world will be at zero, the U.N. will have more power than we do, and the dollar will no longer exist. You will have to get permission from a government agency to go to the doctor by the end of this year. You will see your taxes go up by the end of this year. You will see your internet posts being monitored by the end of the next four years. You will no longer have a say in your child's education by the end of 5-6 years. Our military will not be controlled by us, it will be handed over to the control of the U.N. or NATO. Occasionally, your neighbors will move away and their home will be bulldozed and returned to the natural environment. Your bank will be mostly run by the government by the end of 4 years. You will have a specific eco-tax on top of all the other taxes by the end of 4 years. And no one will be able to read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence anymore as they will just keep fading away, the ink dissolving; no longer taught in schools by the end of 8 years from now. You will still have MTV, porn, cheap beer, and you will think your vote counts -- as long as you are sufficiently distracted.

This is funny coming from someone who is a die hard republican. Would you vote outside your party?

Will you vote for Sarah Palin? "I'm tired of being governer, I wanna be president!"

Here's you solution, we have elections coming up in 2010. Quit voting for the same assholes! Don't vote one party to get the other party out! What I'm saying is fuck the Democrats and the Republicans! Both just want big government and control!
We have choices out there, we just need to be smart enough to make them.
Tell your preachers, teachers, professors, husbands, wifes, parents that we can make a difference.
If you vote Democrat or Republican you are not part of the solution, you are the problem.

They aren't ALL bad. There are some good Dems and some good Repubs as well as a hand full of good Libertarians. Just inform yourself and stay on top of those that represent you. Walter your not coming across as rational with your hate all dems and repubs no matter what.
