Over the past few months I have noticed my 95 discovery loosing its power. When I push on the gas nothing really happens. The tach doesnt raise nor do I seem to go any faster. I have even noticed that I am loosing speed when going over bridges. It appears to be shifting normaly. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Where's the giddy up!

I have a 95 classic that had the same problem. I found with mine that when I touched the plug wires I could feel the current pulsating through the insulation. I'm sure this was giving me a diminished spark. Try new wires and plugs first. Mine didn't appear to be worn physically. I think they just broke down from the heat. I had full power afterwards.

Check the throttle cable... They often losen up over time. The excess slack will make it seem under-powered. Turn the plastic adjuster until there is no slack, yet the throttle is still fully closed.

definitely check the throttle cable for any slack. on my 94 disco it made a huge difference. it never used to downshift and it felt really underpowered. after adjusting it it pulled nicely.
