Water pump dead, need help getting the fan off!

sorry John, just saw that $80 and didn't read the rest of your post. very awesome of you. still though, that tool is sitting on all the shelves of all local auto parts places anywhere in this country. first time is the only hard time. after that, just a quick tap and it spins off. and no, really don't need the tool for reinstall. just spin the fan back on. rotation of the pulley tightens it up.

but now you dont have a fan, you need that before you go on your spring break trip. the fan isnt for looks.

home depot.. just buy a box fan and bungee it to your bumper.
run the power plug to an inverter and you're all set. :rofl:

Autozone LOANER tools. :banghead: Worked for me.

I'm pretty sure the service manual tells you to use one.

so i went to wal mart today to get the new fan. i decided to go with the most $$ double fan and temp selector so i could save $$ on using less voltage. you cant see the ducktape mounts in the pics but you get the idea. the water pump should be here thursday.

just remember, if the women dont find you hansome, they should at least find you handy;) ;)

looks like it's a very high efficiency unit.. i might look into this conversion on my RRC. keep us abreast of your progress. :)
