I have a 03 DII with 41k that I bought this year. I called in to the LR dealership to make an oppointment for some Warranty work. That asked for the VIN to make sure it was still covered. at the time I thought this was Odd know the miles and nowhere near the 5 years. He then proceded to tell me that it was under warranty for only 1 more month... That it expires March of 07. Is it possible that this truck was sold in March of 02? Or is this from a Manufacturing date.
Just curious.

I thought it would be from date of first sale. Check with another LR dealer to make sure. I doubt it was sold as an 03 in Mar 2002, but check the mfr date on the driver's door sticker. $5 says it wasn't made before june 2002.
If it is expiring, sign up for the extended warranty now. from what I read in another thread, you need to sign up 30 days prior to your current warranty expiring.

edit: added month to date. small typo

Just FYI.

There are early and late models of your truck.

For example, I owned a '99 Disco but it was actually manufactured in late '98.

Yeah, I meant to say mar 2002. my finger just didn't type the MAR part :D

normally they begin around aug and run through may or june.
