Definitely rolling downhill in a big socialistic snowball, gaining speed as we speak.....:banghead: Our tax dollars pay for auto industry bailout (something that we should fail and let be rebuilt), lazy asses not willing to work AND foreign aid to other 3rd world countries instead of helping out the people in our own....

Dude, you sound like an idiot! I mostly agree with what you are saying, but do you really think he'll be getting unbiased information from Fox news? If a liberal told you that capitalism is out of control and that you should "get with it" and watch MSNBC would you take him seriously? I think you are the one that needs to get with it.

A better description would be Mussolini style fascism / corporatism.

The following quotation is attributed to Mussolini:

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power."
Mussolini wrote and later recalled "The Doctrine of Fascism".

From Wikipedia - "All fascist movements advocate the creation of an authoritarian government that is an autocratic single-party state led by a charismatic leader with the powers of a dictator."

The authoritarian aspect:

Beyond AIG: A Bill to let Big Government Set Your Salary
By Byron York
Chief Political Correspondent 3/31/09

...a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney Frank, has approved a measure that would, in some key ways, go beyond the most draconian features of the original AIG bill. The new legislation, the "Pay for Performance Act of 2009," would impose government controls on the pay of all employees -- not just top executives -- of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government. It would, like the tax measure, be retroactive, changing the terms of compensation agreements already in place. And it would give Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner extraordinary power to determine the pay...

Wasn't the Patriot act and the formation of Homeland Security the first steps?
The first concrete step goes back to Bretton Woods, though some could trace it back further than that...

Are we talking about Haliburton and Blackwater here?
