I bought a $12 bluetooth OBD2 module and a $5 app for my phone..

Funny thing is that the harder I push the truck the cooler it runs. Going up Dickey Bell hill climb I run in the 190's. Costing down Falls Damn and I get up to 210.
It eases my paranoia... some...

That's because the fan clutch draws more air at higher RPM's.

I was going to go that route but didn't want to turn an app on every time I got in the truck. The ultragauge work well and eases my mind. I set the alarm at 215 so I can catch it early if something goes wrong. Truck runs 194 - 201, saw 204 once sitting on a trail.

Yeah, I figured that one out;)

But I still dont like my idle temps..So Im doing a 180 Tstat soon.

FYI.. Royal Purples "Ice" lowered my average temps by about 5 degrees.. I wouldnt have believed, but the numbers dont lie.

Me and a couple buddies are registered. If we can get my friends Toyota done we'll bring that along with 2 Discos. Should be up late Thursday evening.

I heard through the grapevine that with the Gov't shutdown, the trails are open but campgrounds are closed.

Any info on this?

hopefully they'll have it cleared up by then, otherwise....we'll be using shoptowels for tp in the woods.
