It it for a D1 or D2?

I have 4 Napa u-joints in my O Shit box I never used. Still on my 135K mile original u-joints. These things had the greas fittings and greas them ever oil change. So far so good. I would think you want a good quality joint from spicer or TRW. I would opt for the Napa. I think it's Napa#344.

Precision #344 don't last as long as LR genuine, but don't cost as much either. Bottom line is....you get what you pay for.

I've got the old napa u-joints in my rear shaft; they've worked flawlessly for 30,xxx miles.

Oh and I believe they were around $8-10, but I really can't remember.

all the U joints are the same on the D1's. Precision is the most common and they are around $12-$15.
but like peter suggested you might want to consider Dana or Spicer. pay more....get more.
saving $10 on a u joint can come back to haunt you with the underside of your truck torn to shit.

FWIW,

I bought NAPA'S "good u-joints" for a Landcruiser & couldi't get the DS to stop vibraitng untill I had it rebalanced. Indexed it b4 R&R ing the joints so I know it went together the same way it came apart. Guy @ the driveline shop had to tack the cups to the yolks before it would balance for him, said it's a common paoblem w/ the NAPA joints.
