I've been leaving Kyle a number of emails about my rack. Does anyone know what's happened to him? I haven't had a reply for too long. Robbie? Anyone know how I can contact Kyle?
Thanks
Andy

hey now, don't drag me into this!

hell, Kyle's racks can't even take a little abuse. shit, a 5000lb truck rolls over on top and it just folds up on one side? what the hell kind of shoddy work is that? ;)

not too bad i think. but, a 10 year old truck with over 130k miles? we think the insurance company may total it, but won't find out for a couple of days. if they total it, i am definitely getting another discovery. i may also try to buy this one back for a project truck. hopefully find out situation early next week.

was in WV on a ski trip for the first appreciable snow and ice of the season. was just leaving from a pretty good weekend, hadn't even checked out of the rental house yet. narrown, two lane, ice/snow covered road with a 4 foot drop off either side. hit a bad spot, over corrected, rear end spun around and dropped off the side and flopped us over onto the roof. thankfully only going around 30mph when we lost control, and was probably going much slower by the time we turned turtle. wife and i walked away without so much as a scratch. just a broken truck and a really bruised ego.

How bad are the skis/snowboards that were up on the rack? How DID you like that setup with Kyle's rack?

i had two boards and a pair of skis up there. they are all fine. what saved them was a pelican case. the bottom pelican in the background of the first picture to be exact. it took the brunt of the roll and that is why the rack is so crushed on that side. pelican case was muddy and covered in glass, otherwise just fine. i liked the set-up a lot. easy enough to get to the boards by standing on the bumper and just pulling them all off, plus i had room to put the pelican up there.
