Trouble with Car Cannibal

In the beginning of the summer of 04 we purchased a rebuilt transfer case from Car Cannibal for my mom's '96 discovery. Everything went well. We recieved the transfer case, installed it, runs great. Called teh shipping company prearranged by them to pick up the core and take it to them. It took several weeks for their shipping company to pick it up, but it wasn't a big bother. Didn't think anything more of it.

So the other day my Mom calls me. Car Cannibal had arranged shipping to uswith the new one, and back to them with the old one, and it had all been included in the cost. My Mom recieved a letter from the shipping company's Lawyers saying the shipping bill was never covered, that Car Cannibal wouldn't return their calls, and after so long of trying law reverted the payment back to us.

Now the shipping company is being very resonable, and the price isn't terrible. I just want to know what is going on. My mom's tried calling them, but with no answer, probably due to the hollidays. We'll pay, and all will be fine, I just want to know what happened? ANyone else have simular problems with them?

Thanks,
Ryan

I've had that happen to me when GM sent me a crate motor- I paid for shipping up front, GM didn't pay the shipper, shipper reverts to billing ME plus late fees. Costs more to fight than just pay it...
