I had my oil pan gasket changed under warranty a couple weeks ago and while I was degreasing/washing the underside of my engine I noticed I am missing one access plug and the other is very loose and won't fit back in.

I see that the wheel in there spins when the engine is running. Did I cause any damage to the wheel that is in there with the hose? I have no idea how much water got in there. I didn't notice the plugs till I was finished. I'm going to call the dealer and get two new plugs since they obviously did not replace them properly.

I had the same problem and drove for lord knows how long before I caught it. Anywho, I talked to the dealer about it without sucess. (no need to go into details) I ended up getting a 1.5" compression fitting/plug/whatever its called* at Carquest and it has worked perfectly.

* I'm talking about the type that is a hard rubber donut sandwiched between two pieces of brass, with a bolt through the middle. When you tighten the bolt, the rubber expands. Its worked perfect for me. Only catch is to not get it in so deep that it rubs the flywheel.

I hope you didn't use a pressure washer on the spinning wheel!
