For goodness sakes, I just saw a Top Gear on YouTube a while back where they had to get a Defender to rescue it from two inches of muddy grass

(Not that I'm saying it can outwheel the Disco by any means)

I think it's pretty sweet.. the only thing I'm not a fan of is the molded front and rear bumpers.. mainly because there would be no real way to swap them out for anything worthy of real off-roading. Other than that, a good set of mud tires and maybe a two inch lift if possible and it would be a pretty sweet off road machine..
