Ok i saw a couple of days ago somebody asked about the biggest tire size he can run...and it turned into a Dweb hazing..which is great but i was curious about that topic as well. So that being said, haze away here, but when you do please post what sizes are you guys running and with how big a lift? I have a 01 dii that is stock height right now and sees very minor use off road at the moment, but both the height and amount of off road use are going to be changing soon, but i need tires NOW and id like to buy 1 set to hopefully fit the bill for both now and later. Will still be a daily driver when lifted, will just get alot more dirty. I'm thinking of getting 265/75/16. Will these rub a ton on pavement normal driving (nyc driving tho which is sometimes like off roading on road). And will those rub when the truck is lifted 2" and im on the trails later? I think the overall diameter of those tires is 31.5". Thanks ...and since i know how much opinions will fly on this 1 have fun!!!:patriot:

I ran 235/85 16(32") on my D2 when it was stock height and had no rubbing issues at all(even when off road). Then when I lifted it with a RTE 2" lift it looked very well balanced.

I'm currently running 255/85 16s with a 4" lift.

Cheers.

Guy in our club running 285 75 R16 BFG AT's on his 2001 D2 with no lift. He has been off road with them a few times, made the same move, got the tires and the lift will follow. I'm sure it rubs a bit on heavy articulation, but he's bee okay in the short term.

The hazing occurs because there are approximately 9 trillion tire size threads on dweb.

Searching first and/or growing thicker skin is an encouraged course of action.

And welcome to dweb.
