I looked at the yesterday at Bass Pro Shop. I still dig the Streamlight Stinger.

Not sure on the best prices on the Surefire, though. Bass Pro seemed high, but I don't know...

My local pawnshop/outdoor supplies store seems to have pretty good prices..I think I paid something like $75 for my E2E. If you've got a similar store in your area you might want to check it out.

Check out Nighthawk, its a bit pricy, bout 250. But it has three different modes, strobe, stay on light and regular where u have to hold it. Pretty bright.

I've got several G2's, a 6P, an M3, and the foreend for my Mossberg 590. With regards the G2 being worthwhile-it's a bright light but obviously lacks the ruggedness of say the 6P. That being said, since I've got several of them they are what I use the most as far as in the glove box and such.
In most things you get what you pay for, this is the same-but the question also is what are you paying for? I've smashed my 6P and the M3 in all kinds of places b/c of what I was doing at the time-but for general purposes the G2 was sufficent and cheap enough that if it broke, I just got another one.

if your pockets are deep enough (geometrically, not in wallet sense), 9p is the king.
Gun shops tend to have them, as well as 123 batteries cheaper than anywhere else.

Contact Calvin at "brightflashlights". He's a real standup guy with great Surefire prices. He's been a long-time fixture at ar15.com. I think he has a webpage now - Just a page though (www.brightflashlights.net).

Cheapest place I've seen for Cr123's is Battery Junction - 50 CR123's for $48.50 currently (www.batteryjunction.com). Good batteries also - last as long as Surefire branded stuff.

Lots of good info available at the candlepower forums.

OR....build youself a MAG85 - 1000 lumens in a 3-cell maglite!

Get a Fenix Cree edition P1D...brighter than any pocket Surefire...runs on 1 cr123 max lumens of 130 for 1 hour or regular for 9 hours...dim for 21 hours..along with strobe and S...O---S...

I have had several Surefires and one Pentagon light...nothing compares to this Fenix...cost me seventy bux.

I was wondering if anybody knew who has the best prices for a surefire flashlight. I seemed to have lost mine and replaced it with a crap ole wal mart one but now I want the best again.
Just go to Larry's on the Parkway North and get one there. Ask for John Kettle.
No shipping hassles and a lifetime good service.
