Since I've allowed myself to be sucked into this (hehe) I'll go on the record as saying I've made two small orders from DAP and had decent service, received the expected parts in a timely fashion and no issues.

I'll ask for Kara next time.

Honestly, one of the biggest things between me and Steve is I can put my personal problems with people aside. Jen, if you called for parts and I talked to you (which I wouldn't because I'm not on the phones yet) and I knew it was you, I would not treat you like shit because I'm not like that. I also wouldn't lie to you. And I also wouldn't kiss your ass. Yeah, Dweb and I don't have a good history. But I'm willing to work on that. Is it because Dweb was right about Steve? Absolutely. Is it because I work at DAP now? A little bit.

I can be nice when I want to be, as I'm sure all of you can be. I'd rather be a smart ass and crack jokes, but I know how to be serious. Believe me or not, I don't really care, but the option is there. Overall, I'm pretty easy going. I just like to get people all riled up sometimes and I'm pretty good at pushing people's buttons. But I know when to lay off. Dig up whatever you want on me. I'll give you the truth. It's up to you to decide whether or not to believe. I know Army's got some good shit, but Army also doesn't listen because his mind is made up. ;-) It's ok though. I haven't lost any sleep over it.

Here's my agenda and then I'm out, you know where to find me: I'm gonna be at DAP for a long time. My agenda is do my best for our customers whether they like me or not. That's all. If you don't like me and won't buy from DAP because of it, that's fine. However, just know that I would not treat you any differently because of it. Maybe it IS time for me to grow up. Maybe you all are right. Will Tillery is a great source, as are many other people on this board. I'm not here to take anything away from them. I would just like for you all to keep DAP in mind when looking for parts and give us another chance as we have taken a fresh start to things.

There's not much scoop. He's fired. He made too many mistakes so he's gone. DAP is trying to improve their business and relations with people and well, we all know how good Steve is at making and keeping good relationships with people.

Don't worry. Of the people who really know me, I mean really know me, and you can ask them, I hate liars, I hate drama, I'm not afraid of admitting I fucked up (yes Army, I made a mistake, one mistake), and I'm very loyal as long as people are loyal to me. On the other side, I am a complete goofball and always have a joke to crack or something silly to say. People gotta laugh right? Just give me one more chance. Really. All the stuff in the past, let's leave it there. Really. I am not Steve. Never have been. Never will be.

EDIT: Lou and Al, who are currently answering the phones have been there for a long, long time and really know what they're talking about. I hope to be as good as they are one day. Their knowledge astounds me. Really. They're pretty amazing. Just thought I'd throw that in there...

In all honesty, I've ordered from DAP a few times before. Never had an issue, never talked with Steve (THANK GOD) and had good customer service. I once had a transmission kit ordered that was missing a part, Al shipped the part overnight that was missing. It's been good business from my dealings with it. Hope it continues and improves!

I bought floormats years ago for a disco from Steve, said they were like new. It would have been nice if he at least cleaned the mud off prior to sending, let alone lying about them being like new.

I think there were so may rumors that this was a good way to at least to some extent shut down the rumor mill.

Then again, it has led to a lot of speculation, some of it more reasonable.
