I bought my 95 Disco I used and the previous owner had put 245/75/16s on them. Although I liked the way it looked, I didn't like the occasional rubbing on the fenders. So because those tires had worn out, I just put stock 235/70/16s on....forgetting that the spare is a 245/75/16.
So am I asking for trouble? If I had to put the spare on would the inch difference in these tire sizes cause havoc with the drive train or handling? Should I buy a spare in the 235/70/16 size or am I worrying for naught and can keep the money for beer?
