It's not in LA but in Irvine Orange county where the 405 turns into the 5
It's called Westcoast Rovers Eddie is a the owner. I have all of my work done there, they could have taking me for a ride but they are dead honest. Heres the web site http://www.westcoastrovers.com/
Everyone that works there drives Rovers ( damn sweet ones too)

If it is to far call and ask them a closer shop they know just about everyone in Socal.

British 4x4

Great place, very meticulous, and the shop has a family feel. Here is the website:

it's out of your way, but i will side with gilbert about west coast rovers. eddie is a very cool and reputable guy. took my disco in for some service and i thought it needed something more drastic than it actually did. some guys would take advantage of a situation like that. i was in and out for a quarter of what i thought i was going to spend.

Inland Rovers in Riverside.

Gordon and Dave at Inland Rovers are the only two guys who touch my trucks innards...they are both master rover techs, and far more hardcore wheelers than I could hope to be...But if you are in the OC area and Riverside is too far, I hear Eddie at westcoast is very good too.

Alot of people can vouch that Gordon is one of the best, though...and you will find that he is more than fair...many things he does to my truck I know take much longer than he charges for, and it works the first time, every time.

I have no personal stake in IR, but they are worth the drive to.

My $0.02 :D

Richard,

Did you participate in the recently concluded Baja race. The reason I asked is coz the last time we had a club meeting at British Car Service, there was an LR3 that was being gutted and in the process of being prepared for the race in Baja. If that was your car, do you have any pictures to share. Thanks.
