Yeah. I bet no one. All show and no go...whining and whining, then when the opportunity comes up, no one will be buying them.

Unless you can get hooked up with a good souce in England, or you have the time/money to go over there and search them out, then it's not practical, IMHO, to do anything but the individual, personal import.
There's too many very average LR's that wouldn't be worth the money spent on them to get them here, then there's the spares situation.........

I'm beginning the thought process (if that counts!) We spend a bit of time in the UK every year and have been watching & waiting. If the USD/Sterling conversion rate ever gets back to reality ($2.xx to the UK pound :ack: ) it might be reasonable for me to look for something there and bring it back. However, despite the MoT inspections over there, it still is a 25 year old vehicle and unless the thing is in top-notch shape for the age, costs could quickly rise to the level of an unrestored NAS 110 from 1993.

i've never seen a 93 nas 110 for less than 45k. no matter the condition. i think i could be driving a descent 83 for under 12k. anyway, i was just curious who was getting serious about it. i might start importing them and selling them to all of ya'll.

Right now, there's a place near where I go (East Midlands, UK) where decent running 110s from 1983 that pass the MoT are going for 10-15k in UK sterling - thats $20-30k US before you get into the entire import process (shipping, customs duty, etc). Yes, those are all RHD too, but that actually wouldn't matter to me. Spain would be a very nice place to look, as would Belgium and perhaps even Germany/Switzerland/Austria because those are LHD and have MoT-type inspections too. Anything that old and still on the road has to be inspected. Much written about this elsewhere on this and other forums on the web...
