Is there a Silblade for the rear of the DII? Have a part number? Looking at this on EE and I didn't see anything listed, checked the manufacturer website and the DII isn't even listed.

Are the Silblades worth the money? For those of you guys who have them, are they really that much better then regular windshield wiper blades. The rear blade on my Disco has always been poor, and new regular replacements don't seem to do the job, and I'd consider replacing it with one of these... if they work...

Haven't tried them yet, want to though. My rear is especially suckey too. Thought a little about the the front DI wiper arm replacements too but I think these will do the job.

Can you use the DI rear wiper arm on the DII?

I can tell you they are not all they are cracked up to be. You need to apply their secret sauce regularly to keep them from squeeling like a stuck pig. If I had it to do over again I'd just put the DI kit EE sells on it and be done with it. I've only found the rear from the dealer at $40 a pop.

Silblades ROCK. Best wiper i have ever used to date. Great in heavy rain, great in ice-cold too. You DO have to keep the blade itself clean (especially during pollen season when your truck turns yellow, or if you live in a dust bowl) -- if you allow dirt to bake-on them then they don't preform as well.... I love 'em.

The back is another story...the dealer blade sucks a big one... and i haven't found a better way to work around it without any butchery. Silblade (nor anyone else) doesn't make a rear replacement blade that i know of.

The silblades are awesome. I ordered them from EE and they were about the same price as a new set from the dealer, anywhere else like autozone or something it would have been an order and turned out to be more than the silblades. Hey, if they last for 5 years like they are supposed to, they are way cheaper than the dealer ones that barely lasted 1 year.

I have Sillblades on my D2 and love them. Tonight I had to drive through some VERY HEAVY rain and they worked like a champ, I was pleased. I guess we'll see what happens in the snow.

Yeah, the back one is crap, but I only use it now and then.

Can you retrofit the DI rear wiper arm or any other arm on to the back of a DII so you can use just any blade?

You can but you won't have washer fluid. The D1 arms don't have the washer jet in the arm. D1's spray from the side of the door or some crazy shit like that.
