I was recently going down the road, minding my own business like I usually do, when the tach and power steering went out (of course it was raining) assuming that my belt had broke, I pulled in to the nearest covered area and raised the hood to see that my belt tensioner had gone south.

I ended up at Discount Auto parts and after a little trial and error found that Idler/Tensioner Pulley #89006 was about the right size. It was a stamped steel piece versus the cast pulley that Land Rover uses, but the price ($17.95) was a lot better than Land Rovers.

I have several hundred miles on it, without any problems, but for the price, it's cheap enough to get and throw in to the spares box.

I'll keep this updated if there are any problems.
