:ack:

They've put the bumper overriders UNDER the bumper (so they could fit the brushbar).

At first I was going to agree, that it looked like the front half of the soft-top was taut, but after going and looking at the other pictures, I think you might be right, that they did do something funky with the top.....

(FWIW, it's a III, not a II (but am I surprised that the ad has it wrong???))

I just noticed what you were talking about with the front bumper and bull bar. That's pretty funny! Maybe it would help with crashes with smaller vehicles so it actually hits at the correct height?

Imagine hitting your first boulder with that bumper...ouch!

the bumper makes no sense to me, as well as the defender's windshield. series' windshield is supposed to be split, not full :ack:

i like the full length soft top, and the interior looks good (or is the carpet hidding something nasty?). but $17000 for it is way too much!!

Isn't the full length sand hood only good on the 3 door 109?

I emailed the guy with this Rover to ask about the soft top. He says it is a soft top from the windshield to the back. Hard to believe looking at the pictures.

It is a custom hood. The 5-door never came like that. I know one person that put in a full interior cage, made the rear doors split, and then had a full tilt made up for it. The 109 5-door tub is the same size as an 88. So basically you take an 88 tilt and add in some material in the area over the cab. He used to live here in CA but think he is in GA now.

As has already been mentioned it has the wrong wind screen but the coiler screens actually make it easier to see traffic lights, it's not a bad thing. Land Rover doesn't restore vehicles, plain and simple. And anyone thats trying to pass of a vehicle as such is either lieing or has no clue what they are talking about. I never understood why people paint the galvanised items on a Series truck. Most of the time its because they are trying to make the truck look like a 90/110 and then charge more $$ for it.

There is a place in Peublo that is importing Series trucks from the UK. All of the vehicles on their web site you can find on a UK companies site, for $20,000+ less then what the turds in Peublo want. Shipping from the UK will run you 2-5000$ depending on how much you make the arrangements your self and if you are willing to go to the East Coast to pick up or have delivered here to CO.
