Safari Gard Rear Bumper and Back Up Light for late 03-04 Disco

Hey guys,

I searched long and hard for this question but nothing came up. I have a 2004 Discovery (on the way) and I was looking at the Safari Gard rear bumper. As you guys know, the 2004 Disco back up light is in the stock bumper whereas before it sat up in the light cluster. If I am to replace the bumper for a Safari Gard, which has no lights I would end up with out a back up light. Looking carefully at Safari Gards website I found a picture of which looks to be a fog light well hidden as a back up light.

Is the sollution? Have any of you run into this? I was also thinking of the possibility of having a work lamp on the back of my SD rack turn on as my back up light (does it install with a switch on the dash?)

I think a couple of work 21 watt work lights mounted on top of the bumper would work well, and actually be more useful than regular reverse lights on that wimpy looking thing

I had the same problem 04' disco and solved it with a Hella dual lamp on my factory roof rack. works great looks even better. I even have an 05' Safari Gard bumper for sale half price...near perfect condition.

How much do you want for your SG Bumper? Does it have the receiver built in with skid plate?

If you want a SG skid plate I have the skid plate... has never been used... buy the bumper and Ill sell you the skid plate...
